If you would elections to the National Council of the Slovak Republic held in April 2026, the opposition would be the winner Progressive Slovakia with a gain of 20.8 percent of the vote. The movement thus slightly improved by 0.7 percentage points compared to March.
The government would finish in second place Directionwhich 17.8 percent of potential voters would vote for, while this party also recorded a month-on-month increase of the same amount as PSko.
The third place is steadily held by the coalition Voice with a gain of 8.9 percent.
It follows from the latest survey of preferences agency AKO for news JOJ 24 television.
In the April measurement, there were interesting movements, especially in the middle part of the political spectrum. The party worked its way up to the fourth position Freedom and Solidarity with a gain of 8.2 percent, overtaking the Republika movement, which dropped to the eight percent mark.
SaS recorded its best result since the parliamentary elections in 2023.
A more significant decline of almost one percentage point affected the Slovak Movement, which would vote for 7.7 percent of respondents, which narrowly puts it ahead KDH with a gain of 7.6 percent.
The list of parties that would exceed the five percent electability threshold is closed by the non-parliamentary Democrats with a gain of six percent.
For now, the coalition would remain at the gates of the legislature CIS with a profit of 4.9 percent, which was only a tenth of a percent short of entry.
The Hungarian Alliance fared similarly with a gain of 4.7 percent of the vote. The movement also suffered a more significant loss of voter support We are familywhich fell to 2.8 percent, and the Right to Truth party closes the ranking with the support of 2.2 percent of voters.
Converted to mandates, Progressive Slovakia would occupy 37 seats in the parliament, Smer would have 32 and Hlas 16 mandates. The SaS party would send 14 representatives to the parliamentary benches, just like the Republic.
The Slovakian Movement would occupy 13 seats, the same as the KDH, and the bloc of elected parties is closed by the Democrats with 11 mandates.
This distribution of forces would significantly complicate the situation of the current government. The parties Smer and Hlas would have a total of only 48 mandates, and since the SNS would not enter the parliament, they would not even have the support of the Republic, with which they would have only 62 votes, for a majority.
The current opposition parties consisting of PS, SaS, KDH and the Democrats would together reach 75 mandates, which means that without the movement Slovakia Igor Matovič they would lack one parliamentary mandate to govern.
According to the survey, the overall voter turnout would reach a solid level, as 69 percent of decided voters expressed their willingness to vote.
16.8 percent of respondents were undecided, and another 11.9 percent of respondents declared that it would not be possible to vote at all. The remaining 2.3 percent of respondents refused to answer the question.
