A bomb alert raised the Tirana Police this evening, after a threat received via email at the “Toptani” shopping center.
According to the preliminary police announcement, around 8:10 p.m., the citizen with the initials AD, who is the head of security in this shopping center, notified the operating room that he had received an electronic message claiming that a quantity of explosives had been placed in the premises of the building, which would explode at 8:30 p.m.
Immediately after the announcement, the Police, Engineering Forces and Anti-Terrorist structures arrived at the scene, which carried out detailed checks in the entire shopping center.
From the verifications so far, no suspicious or illegal objects have been found.
Meanwhile, the investigative group is continuing the work to identify the person who sent the threatening email, as well as to fully clarify the circumstances of this case.

Around 8:10 p.m., citizen A. D informed the operating room of DVP Tirana that a message has arrived in his email that a quantity of explosives has been placed in the shopping center where he works as a security chief, which will explode at 8:30 p.m.
The Police, Engineering Forces and Anti-Territory services immediately went to the scene, and checked the center and did not find anything illegal.
The investigative group is working to identify the citizen who sent the email and to clarify the circumstances of the case.
