Diego Vetencourt, Venezuelan migrant, reported the theft of all his belongings and personal belongings that remained in his home, located in the Córdoba Doral residential complex, south of Florida, after it was deportee with his wife days ago.
Through a video broadcast on their social networks, He explained that he had to leave the property on October 27 due to the immigration proceduredespite the fact that the end date of the rental contract was set for November 1.
Given the immediacy of the trip, he said that he decided to leave the property in the custody of his relatives, so that they will complete the removal of the objects.
In the audiovisual material, Vetencourt explained that his relatives went to the property to remove the remaining belongings, but They found the house unoccupied and without any of the property that remained inside.
“I left my mother and my aunt in charge of looking for my things. The last few things I had left in my house: a television, a sofa, a bed, some boxes, things that we couldn’t take with us because of all the rush we had on our way. And it turns out that when my mother and my aunt enter the apartment today, they see this. They stole absolutely everything.”he stated.
He also asserted that the alleged theft of the objects occurred within the period in which kept the legal right to the apartment.
He also clarified that the unforeseen departure was only known to the administrative representatives of the condominium and the supervisor of the premises, whom he referred to by the name of Carlos Monsalve.
“The only people who knew about my leaving the country were the leasing office and the person in charge of the building, Carlos Monsalve. But no one knew that I was leaving the country,” he said.
Likewise, he highlighted the legal impediment he faces in going to the local police stations to process the formal complaint in person, given that your immigration status after expulsion prohibits you from re-entering the country.
Vetencourt expressed his intention to leave aside the negative feelings generated by the deportation process, although he regretted the loss of the belongings obtained during his stay.
“It makes me very sad because I also love the United States, I love my experiences, I love everything I experienced there, But the house that my wife and I built was stolen from us in two days,” he said.
