In the last few hours, a Criminal Court judge in Tegucigalpa issued substitute measures against the former director of the National Institute for the Care of Minor Offenders (Inami), Ninfa Suyapa Flores Castellanosaccused of vertical workplace harassment to the detriment of two legal professionals, as reported by the Judicial Branch of Honduras.
The initial hearing was scheduled for Thursday, May 7 at 10:00 in the morning.

Accusations
According to the list of facts, the accused today, using her position of hierarchical superiority, would have exercised acts of hostility and pressure against the affected professionals, in a context of alleged workplace harassment within the institution.
The complaint establishes that on June 4, 2024, during a meeting at the Inami offices, the accused allegedly coerced the victims to sign their resignations, using threats and degrading expressions. In addition, he would have indicated that he had personal information extracted from mobile devices, which increased the pressure on those affected.
That same day, according to what was reported, the defendant appeared at the office of one of the victims accompanied by four armed men and proceeded to evict her from her workplace, telling her that she was fired.
The professionals had previously reported acts of workplace harassment by the accused towards the institution’s staff.
In the last few hours, the Public Ministry, through the Special Human Rights Prosecutor’s Office (FEDH), filed a tax requirement against Ninfa Suyapa Flores Castellanosformer director of the National Institute for the Care of Juvenile Offenders (Inami), for his alleged responsibility in a case of workplace harassment.
