He Ministry of Public Works (MOP) instructed the Panama Fourth Bridge Consortium implement adjustments regarding job security required by the Ministry of Labor and Labor Development (Mitradel), after the temporary suspension of work in six of the 34 work fronts of the project.
The fronts where the suspension is maintained correspond to M4, M6, Cerro Sosa and the W13, W14 and W15 foundationslocated in the Panama Oeste area.
In addition, the measure also reaches the concrete plants of the east and west sectors.
Mitradel’s demands arose as a result of the work accident in which a worker was injured of the project this September 24.
The MOP reported that, once the requested adjustments have been completed, the Panama Cuarto Puente Consortium must request a new inspection from Mitradel to verify that the established requirements have been met.
Only after this verification can you obtain the authorization to resume work in the work fronts that remain suspended.
