One Vincentian national was among the 14 graduates recognised at a ceremony celebrating Eastern Caribbean students who successfully completed their higher education in The Kingdom of Morocco.
On Saturday, September 12, 2026 the journey of Chardonnay John and her other graduates of the Class of 2026 was celebrated at the inaugural OECS Graduate Recognition Ceremony, held at the Rabat Marriott Hotel in Morocco, under the theme “Through Perseverance Comes Triumph”.
A former student of the Lodge Village Government School, the Girls’ High School, and the SVG Community College Division of Arts, Sciences and General Studies, John was the recipient of a scholarship offered to the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States by the Government of Morocco.
John, who said she “set goals for myself, and try my best to achieve them while giving myself grace,” described herself as a hard working, very private person who just likes being in the background”. She was the recipient of a scholarship and studied Applied Economics, her preferred field.
