In Ukraine, within the framework of the EU4Green Recovery East (EU4GRE) program, the first pilot communities were selected for the implementation of modern approaches in the field of water supply and drainage.
About this it is said in the message of the Ministry of Development.
Three utility companies have been identified for the technical assessment of treatment facilities: KP “Pustomytyvodokanal”, KP “Drohobychvodokanal” and KP “Kremenchukvodokanal”.
In these communities, a comprehensive analysis of the operation of water drainage systems will be conducted, in particular:
-
analysis of wastewater treatment processes
-
assessment of energy consumption and opportunities for its optimization
-
sediment management analysis
-
assessment of the technical condition of the infrastructure
“According to the results, the community will receive “roadmaps” of modernization with specific solutions to increase efficiency and environmental safety.
This is the first stage of technical assistance, which has a broader goal – the implementation of European integration legislation and practices in the field of water supply and drainage.
The selected cities will become demonstrative cases with the possibility of scaling these solutions to other communities,” said Deputy Minister of Community Development and Territories Kostyantyn Kovalchuk.
We will remind:
Government formed a portfolio of 26 special projects to protect critical water supplies as part of resilience plans in preparation for next winter.
