Commencement of the Installation of the 69kV Underground Powerline
The Dominica Geothermal Development Company (DGDC) wishes to inform residents of Laudat, Wotten Waven, Trafalgar, and the general public that trenching activities for the installation of the 69kV underground powerline will commence on Tuesday, September 15, 2026.
Works will be undertaken concurrently in two areas:
- Along the public road from Biaic (near the Cable Car Base Station) to Manface.
- In the Glasgow Hill area.
These activities are expected to continue for a period of approximately eight (8) weeks.
We kindly solicit your cooperation in observing the traffic signs and safety measures that will be implemented during the work.
These activities are part of the New Electricity Transmission Network, executed by Kalpataru Projects International Ltd (KPIL).
