KUALA LUMPUR: OMS Group has held the first steel cutting ceremony for CS Resilience, the third vessel in its next-generation GREAT-Class fleet, at CRIST S.A. shipyard in Gdynia, Poland.
The ceremony marks the official commencement of construction and another major milestone in OMS group’s long-term fleet expansion strategy to meet the growing global demand for resilient digital infrastructure.
The steel cutting of CS Resilience follows OMS Group’s announcement in January 2026 of its partnership with ULSTEIN for the design and construction of two next-generation cable-laying vessels.
Together with CS Genesis and CS Triumph, CS Resilience forms part of OMS Group’s GREAT-Class fleet programme, which it said reinforces its commitment to setting new benchmarks in subsea installation capability, operational excellence and sustainability.
Scheduled to enter service in 2028, CS Resilience has been purpose-built to deliver superior cable installation capabilities while minimising environmental impact.
