Czarnek Steps Up Offensive as Cenckiewicz Joins His Camp

“Prof. Sławomir Cenckiewicz will reinforce Przemysław Czarnek’s offensive against the December 13 coalition,” TV Republika has learned. “In view of the unlawful actions of Donald Tusk’s government, which does not respect final court rulings and groundlessly deprives me of access to classified information, I submitted my resignation from the position of Secretary of State – Head of the National Security Bureau to President Karol Nawrocki on April 22, 2026” Cenckiewicz announced on social media.

    Oświadczenie!!!

Wobec bezprawnych działań rządu Donalda Tuska, który nie szanuje prawomocnych wyroków sądów i bezpodstawnie odbiera mi prawo dostępu do informacji niejawnych, na ręce prezydenta Karola Nawrockiego w dniu 22 kwietnia 2026 r. złożyłem rezygnację ze stanowiska…

    — Sławomir Cenckiewicz (@Cenckiewicz) April 23, 2026

TV Republika reported today that Prof. Sławomir Cenckiewicz will join the offensive of Prof. Przemysław Czarnek, Law and Justice (PiS) candidate for prime minister. Cenckiewicz published a statement confirming the station’s findings.

“In view of the unlawful actions of Donald Tusk’s government, which does not respect final court rulings and groundlessly deprives me of access to classified information, I submitted my resignation from the position of Secretary of State – Head of the National Security Bureau to President Karol Nawrocki on April 22, 2026. From now on, I will support the President in a completely different role. I extend my support, thanks, and best wishes to my successor, Gen. Andrzej Kowalski, and all my colleagues at the National Security Bureau,” wrote Prof. Cenckiewicz.

As we read further, “I have thought through my decision and made it out of responsibility for the state, one of whose key institutions – the National Security Bureau – has been subjected to brutal interference and pressure from Donald Tusk’s government. The unprecedented anti-state vandalism of Tusk and his associates has in practice paralyzed the normal functioning of the BBN and has made it impossible for me to perform the duties entrusted to me on August 7, 2025 by the President of the Republic of Poland.”

“The ruling of the Supreme Administrative Court of April 15 this year, which ultimately exposed the unlawfulness of the government’s and the Military Counterintelligence Service’s actions against me over the past two years, has not changed anything in this regard and has even intensified further harassment, persecution, and investigations. After nearly two years of my legal battle, despite their defeat before the NSA, Tusk’s team is trying to impose the same unlawfulness on me again, with the same Jarosław Stróżyk from the Military Information Services acting as the verifier of my access to classified information – a renewed control procedure whose outcome has already been decided by an ORMO officer on the ‘X’ platform, a second revocation of my security clearance, an appeal of the SKW decision to Tusk, and further appeals to the Voivodeship Administrative Court and possibly the NSA.”

He adds: “But it is victory in the war that determines who is right – and in the end, that is on my side!”

Cenckiewicz on the “real reasons for repression”

Cenckiewicz points out: “My knowledge of the role of Prime Minister Tusk and his associates in the process of subordinating Poland to the Russian Federation in 2007-2014, the content of the report of the State Commission for the Investigation of Russian Influence on the Internal Security of the Republic of Poland in 2007-2022, my participation in the liquidation of the Military Information Services, and even the exposure of Lech Wałęsa as a dangerous SB agent codenamed ‘Bolek’ – these are the real reasons for the repression I have faced since December 13, 2023.”

“One government representative put it bluntly after the NSA ruling: ‘they will never forgive you for this and will never – even if the courts decide otherwise – grant you clearance.’ To this dull and blind hatred of Tusk’s team, I respond with the words of the great Ignacy Matuszewski and, like him, ‘I am proud that I stood by my views against all dignitaries and authorities. I am proud that even today I am still pursued by hatred for what I did yesterday.’”

    He adds.

However, he announces that he does not intend to “step off this path.”

“I am all the more certain in not stepping down because I do not believe that everything will suddenly improve and that Tusk’s government will begin cooperating with the President and the BBN under his authority. I have no illusions that the goal of the bad people governing Poland is to delegitimize the President, limit his powers, and ultimately – destroy and ‘dismiss’ the presidency of Karol Nawrocki,” he emphasizes.

    “I know who they are”

Cenckiewicz added that after eight months of working at the BBN, he “knows even better who they are, what intentions drive them, and how much harm Donald Tusk, Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, Radosław Sikorski, Tomasz Siemoniak, Włodzimierz Czarzasty, and Waldemar Żurek have been causing Poland for years.”

He stresses, however, that “today the most important thing is a change of government. Therefore, I will not abandon the fight to preserve democracy and the rule of law in Poland. What until now – due to the gravity of the office I held – prevented me from openly opposing the boundless wrongdoing that is destroying Poland, will no longer restrain me. I return not only to the role of a researcher of the past and an academic lecturer, but above all to that of a publicist and political commentator.”

“Tusk and his ranks drawn from the SB, LWP, WSW, FSB, and WSI therefore have no reason to celebrate! In my new role, I will hold the current anti-state vandalism of the government to account even more strongly, doing everything to ensure that Prof. Przemysław Czarnek’s mission ends in success. I have knowledge and experience from the offices I have held and from the 2024/2025 election campaign, which I wish to pass on to Prof. Czarnek as a candidate for Prime Minister of the Republic of Poland. The success of this difficult mission is our raison d’état!” we read in the statement.

“Moreover, let the highly regarded Mateusz Morawiecki ‘fish’ in the center, Civic Platform will lose the elections, ‘New ZSL’ in its current form will fall below the electoral threshold, the President of the Republic will take patronage over the Senate Bloc, and the right wing will build a future coalition and, consequently, form a government of Law and Justice (PiS) and Confederation. Poland needs the unity of patriots! Poland needs a national government! Poland needs a New State!” Cenckiewicz concludes.
