Huot Hak, Minister of Tourism of Cambodia, yesterday received Lok Chumteav Oknha Choub Mean, Chief Executive Officer of Town Entertainment Group, along with her colleagues for a courtesy call and working discussion on strengthening cooperation to promote Cambodia’s tourism sector.
The meeting focused on expanding collaboration between the ministry and the entertainment company, including a proposal to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance efforts and promote Cambodia as an attractive tourism destination.
During the discussion, Choub Mean briefed the minister on the company’s previous cooperation with the ministry and reaffirmed the group’s commitment to supporting the promotion of Cambodia’s tourism industry. The company plans to contribute through the production of tourism promotional content, entertainment programmes, and sports, arts, and cultural events designed to attract more international visitors to the Kingdom.
In response, Hak warmly welcomed the initiative and expressed strong support for the company’s engagement in promoting tourism. He emphasised that collaboration with creative industries plays an important role in strengthening the competitiveness and global visibility of Cambodia’s tourism sector.
He also highlighted that the ministry remains open to working closely with private sector partners and other stakeholders to further enhance Cambodia’s reputation as a safe, beautiful, and appealing destination on the international stage.
He further encouraged stronger cooperation between public and private sectors in developing innovative tourism products and activities that can help attract more tourists while supporting the sustainable growth of Cambodia’s tourism industry.
