The Arnos Vale Playing Field will take on a Carnival like setting, from today, Friday, August 7 to Sunday, August 9, 2026, as the Republic Bank Caribbean Premier League (CPL) touches down at the venue for the first time.
A history-making occasion for the country, as St Vincent and the Grenadines does not have a franchise, hence, becomes the first venue that does not have a team, but will host matches.
St Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG) thus kick starts the Biggest Party in Sports 2026 edition, as five of the seven franchises will seek to get their campaign off on a good footing.
Getting the high– octane action going will be the Jamaica Kingsmen versus the Antigua and Barbuda Falcons from 7:15 pm.
Then on Saturday, August 8, defending champions Trinbago Knight Riders, face the St Kitts and Nevis Patriots from 7:00 p.m.
And, from 7:15 p.m, on Sunday August 9, St Lucia Kings meet Antigua and Barbuda Falcons.
Apart from the exhilarating Cricket, patrons attending matches on Friday and Sunday, will be treated to drone shows, preceding the start of these matches.
A host of regional and international stars will be on show. Among them are Andre Russell, Nicholas Pooran, Kieron Pollard, Sunil Narine, Jason Holder, Rovman Powell, Evin Lewis, Andre Fletcher, as well as Johnson Charles, the CPL’s leading runs scorer.
