
The National Bureau of Meteorology warned, in a weather bulletin for Thursday, of the continued heat wave, thunderstorms, and wind gusts in many states.
According to the warning that appeared on the vigilance map in orange, meaning from the second level, the expected temperatures range between 44 and 45, and it is expected to reach or exceed 47 in Blida, Medea, Djelfa, Bouira, M’Sila, Bordj Bou Arreridj, Setif, Mila, Constantine, Souk Ahras, Guelma, Khenchela, Batna, Oum El Bouaghi, and Tebessa.
This bulletin will remain valid from today, Thursday, until tomorrow, Friday. The states of Ain Temouchent, Oran, Mostaganem, Tipaza, Algiers, and Boumerdes will also witness a rise in temperatures, as they are expected to range between 39 and 41 degrees throughout the day today and continue until tomorrow, Friday.
The heat wave also includes the states of Bejaia, Jijel, Skikda, Annaba and El Tarf, as temperatures are expected to range between 40 and 44 degrees Celsius, with the possibility of reaching 46 degrees locally, during the period extending from Thursday to Saturday.
In a related context, the National Meteorological Office warned of expected thunderstorms in the states of Tebessa, Khenchela and Batna, during the period from three in the afternoon until nine at night, in addition to strong winds blowing in the states of Adrar and Ain Salah.
