The announcement was made after his visit to the site of the fire that occurred in the district of La Victoriawhere ten people died, including five minors, in a fire that was allegedly caused by a gang of extortionists.
Visibly affected, Fujimori described the fact as “a massacre” and announced that his transfer team has already been coordinating with the future members of the ministerial cabinet to define the first actions.

“We have been coordinating with the transfer teams and with the future ministers. I have asked to convene the future Council of Ministers”he pointed out.
The president-elect specified that the cabinet session will take place on the morning of July 29, one day after the transfer of command ceremony.
“On the morning of the 29th we will have the first session of the Council of Ministers to begin taking action. We are going to debate the approval of some emergency decrees so that, immediately, starting next week we begin to recover order,” he stated.
Although he avoided advancing the content of the measures that will be put to a vote, he explained that these have already been heard in previous days.
“I cannot advance anything because it must be approved by the Council of Ministers, but you have heard the proposals that we have been putting forward throughout the campaign. I am sure that future ministers are absolutely convinced that our country cannot go any further, that this situation is going to change and we are going to recover peace and order,” she stated.
The convocation of the first Council of Ministers involved the rescheduling of the traditional ceremony with the evangelical churches, initially scheduled for July 29 and which will now take place the following day.
