The Secretary-General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Lounes Mokraman, delivered a speech in which he highlighted the important strides made by Algeria to achieve the goals of sustainable development in accordance with the United Nations 2030 Agenda, and this is within the framework of his participation in the work of the annual session of the High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development at the United Nations.
According to what the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported in a statement today, Tuesday, July 14, Mokarmane focused on Algeria’s most prominent achievements in this context, under the leadership of President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, especially in the areas of economic diversification outside the hydrocarbons sector, promoting digitalization, electronic governance, and the integration of youth and women, in addition to accelerating the energy transition and enhancing water security, which are the areas on which the work of this session focuses.
Secretary-General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Lounes Mokarman, also stressed in his speech “the importance of constructive international partnerships and working to address the root causes of crises, ensuring equitable development opportunities, and accelerating the reform of the international financial structure, in a way that ensures adequate and sustainable financing for the benefit of developing countries.”
