SAN MARINO – International premiere for “Daddy burned the biscuits”, the documentary by the San Marino director and journalist Jeffrey Zani dedicated to the challenges of contemporary parenting. After 35 screenings in Italy, the film will be presented on Saturday 17 October at the Lux Art House in Massagno, in the Lugano district, Switzerland.
The screening represents the 36th stop on a tour that has already crossed numerous Italian cities, including Rome, Milan, Florence, Naples, Turin, Genoa, Bologna and Trento. The Swiss event is organized by the Sasso Corbaro Foundation, the 8Hz Family Coworking project and the multifunctional space Bussa coi Piedi.
The documentary addresses the transformations of parenting through direct experiences and testimonies, proposing a reflection on the difficulties, emotions and responsibilities of being a parent today.
Among the entities that hosted the film were the Emilia-Romagna Region, Sapienza University of Rome, the Erickson Study Center and the Orders of Psychologists of Piedmont and Liguria. He also participated in the project Franco Baldoniprofessor at the University of Bologna and expert in paternal perinatal affective disorders.
“We have chosen to follow a path closely linked to our philosophy and focus on live events,” he explains Jeffrey Zani. The screenings, which last 55 minutes, are followed by meetings and discussions with the public which can last up to an hour and a half.
According to the director, the direct dialogue with the spectators represents one of the most significant aspects of the project, because it allows us to collectively address a topic that concerns both the personal and social dimensions.
After the international premiere in Switzerland, the tour will continue in November with three dates: Friday 13th in Medolla, in the province of Modena, Saturday 14th in Treviso and Saturday 21st in Jesolo, in the province of Venice.
