The Superior Council of Justice (CSJ) will apply a objective system for measuring the workload of jurisdictionswith the aim of better plan resources courts, distribute matters in a more balanced way and contribute to reduce the deadlines for the resolution of procedures.
The initiative was addressed in a conference organized jointly with the European Commission for the Efficiency of Justice of the Council of Europewhich has gathered battles, prosecutors, magistrates, European experts and professionals of the judicial field. One of the highlights of the day was the presentation of the work of the “Judicial Modules” group, created by the CSJ with the technical support of the CEPEJ. During the session, studies were presented to adapt this methodology to the Andorran reality, including the first results in the Superior Court of Justice and the specific models for criminal and civil jurisdictions.
The president of the CSJ, Josep Maria Rossell, has emphasized that “the construction of an objective system of measuring the workload represents a decisive step to continue improving the organization of the Andorran Justice. The cooperation with the CEPEJ allows us incorporate the best European practices and have technical tools that reinforce the quality of the public service of justice.”
