
The Head of Information and Public Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Hafiz Zia Ahmed Takal, wrote today on his “X” social network: “The delegation of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan was headed by Dr. Abdul Hai Qant, the third political head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the delegation of the Russian Federation was headed by the head of the second Asia Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Alexei Pavlovsky.”
In this consultation, both sides discussed ways to further develop the bilateral relations between Afghanistan and Russia, recent political developments in the region and the world, regional stability, security and other common interests.
Both sides have also emphasized on expanding practical cooperation in the field of developing economic cooperation, raising the level of trade, creating investment opportunities and activating transport and transit corridors.
In the consultation, cooperation in the framework of regional and international organizations, regional connectivity, topics related to common interests of both countries and strengthening of regional cooperation were discussed and it was agreed to continue the coordination and regular political understanding of these areas.
Both sides agreed that such political consultations are important for the further strengthening of mutual relations and development of common interests between Afghanistan and Russia.
It has been decided that the third round of political consultations will be held in Moscow.
