Students from the Académie Rainier III brought the 2025–2026 academic year to a close with a gala performance, showcasing the artistic progress and creativity developed throughout the year.
The event welcomed a number of distinguished guests on Wednesday, June 24, including Mélanie-Antoinette de Massy, representatives of the Princely Government and local institutions, Deputy Mayor Karyn Ardisson Salopek, who is responsible for the Academy, and the school’s director, Jade Sapolin.
The evening featured performances by four advanced student soloists accompanied by the Monte-Carlo Philharmonic Orchestra before expanding into a programme highlighting the Academy’s ensembles and orchestras. Audiences enjoyed a broad range of musical styles and disciplines, from tap dance and orchestral works to operatic singing.
A special appearance was also made by acclaimed pianist Shani Diluka, the Academy’s artist-in-residence, who performed alongside students from her piano and chamber music classes, joined by pupils from the Academy’s piano department.
Addressing guests during the gala, Karyn Ardisson Salopek said the Academy remains committed to combining artistic fulfilment with high educational standards. She noted that while encouraging creativity and confidence on stage remains a central objective, the institution also places strong emphasis on rigorous professional training designed to prepare the next generation of performers.
The concert concluded a year of performances and artistic projects, offering families and guests a glimpse of the diverse education available at one of Monaco’s leading centres for music and performing arts.
