Abu Dhabi of the UAE As the history of travel moves along the rails today, the control wheel of that great leap is firmly in the hands of the Malayalis. When Etihad Rail starts its first journey from Fujairah to Abu Dhabi, five Malayalis will make history inside the train.
The team is headed by Alappuzha native Nishad, Operations Team Leader and Train Drivers Line Manager of Etihad Rail. Besides, the train captains are Novin George from Kochi, Muhammad Sajid from Kannur, Ranji Ravi from Palakkad and Adil Muhammad from Malappuram as train masters are the watchmen for the smooth implementation of this dream project.

If Nishad’s is a story of hard work and a sense of purpose, the other four became a part of Etihad Rail as newcomers and proved their excellence through training. In the pilot cabin of the train, the role of Indians including Malayalis in ensuring safe travel and controlling the speed is clear. Not only on the train but also serving passengers at the station, there are Malayalis from various nationalities.

Like the cabin crew of the planes, the ‘train masters’ are the servants who ensure the comfort of the passengers. Led by Nishad, this Malayalee group plays a crucial role in ensuring a safe and comfortable travel experience for travelers.
