Arnaaraq Sandgreenwho is a cook at the Kulloq Kindergarten in Aasiaat, came up with the idea of letting the children vote on what they would like to make for lunch.
– I’ve had the idea for a long time because I’ve seen children cast votes that way.
– I have waited a long time for a day when I could let them try to vote, says Arnaaraq Sandgreen to AG.
The children voted on five different dishes, which they then had to eat, says Municipality Qeqertalik in a press release.

– The sausage was most popular, while rice porridge came in second place, says Arnaaraq Sandgreen.
Before the vote, the children were instructed on how to vote.

The children stood in line and when it was their turn to vote, they stated their date of birth. They were then taken to the voting booth, where the ballot paper was placed in the box and later counted together with the oldest kindergarten children, who will start school this summer.
– The winners were happy, the losers were sad, and three children had voted blankly, says Arnaaraq Sandgreen with a warm smile.
