During the night of Saturday night, members of the Argentine Federal Police activated a preventive security operation at Quinta de Olivos and Casa Rosada after a bomb threat. According to police sources, THE NATIONit was an anonymous call to 911. The deployment also reached streets surrounding both establishments.
From the Casa Rosada they notified that a bomb threat was registered and, immediately afterwards, the Ministry of Security activated the preventive protocol also in the Quinta de Olivos. At the moment no further information was released. Teams from the Emergency Medical Care System (SAME), the Vicente López Civil Defense and Firefighters also attended the scene.
The episode occurred hours after the arrival of President Javier Milei back to Argentina, after his trip to Spain, where he traveled three days ago to receive a medal and lead agenda meetings.

The episode occurred hours after the resignation of Manuel Adorni as Chief of Staff. After days of uncertainty and internal pressure, the official announced his departure through a statement, in which he did not make a self-criticism, but instead targeted the media, which he blamed for his current situation, and stated that he was leaving office to protect himself and his loved ones.
