2 Urgent updates regarding ITR and Income Tax
While the last date for filing Income Tax Return (ITR) is usually July 31, June 30 is especially important for taxpayers.
Verification Notice Vertical: If the Income Tax Department finds any irregularities in the returns or documents of a taxpayer, it can issue a notice of scrutiny or inquiry before June 30.
Verify the documents: Besides, if there is any discrepancy in the information in your Form 26AS, AIS (Annual Information Statement) or bank records, the Income Tax Department can start investigation. So keep all your financial documents updated and verified by June 30 to avoid any legal complications or penalties.
