In this framework, and based on the ECMWF model, the Brazilian meteorologist Igor Roik announced for these next few days “snow risk“in mountainous areas of “Rio Grande do Sul/BR and in areas of Uruguay”.
According to the map shared by the specialist, this event would cause damage to areas of Maldonado and part of the departments of Rocha, Canelones, Florida and Lavalleja.
For this week, the National Institute of Meteorology (Inumet) predicted minimums that will go from this Tuesday to Sunday of the 0°C to 7°C in the metropolitan area and Montevideo. In the rest of the country, the minimum temperatures will range from -4 °C to 8 °C.
The maxims, for their part, will go from 10°C to 14°C. For these days, Inumet predicted several days with “frosts” and “low thermal sensations.”
