Swimming fun in Grevenmacher is also canceled on Monday: the swimming pool will remain closed all day due to ongoing technical problems. This divides the city on its own website and on social media. The outdoor pool was unable to open its doors on Sunday for the same reasons. According to the city, “intensive work” is currently being done on a solution.
Record heat in June
Luxembourg has experienced this in the past few days most intense June heatwave since records began. On Saturday, the Ministry of Agriculture’s weather service AgriMeteo measured 41.4 degrees in Remich in the afternoon – a new all-time record.
