Today, Turkmenistan celebrates the Day of Culture and Art Workers, as well as the Day of Poetry of Magtymguly Pyragy.On this occasion, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov sent congratulations to his compatriots and to figures in the fields of culture and the arts.
Modern achievements in the domestic cultural sphere are having a significant impact on the spiritual revival of society, fostering an ever-growing sense of love for the Motherland among our happy citizens.”In this regard, the joint celebration of the Day of Culture and Art Workers and the Day of Poetry of Magtymguly Pyragy is noteworthy: this dual celebration fully reflects the realization—in our magnificent era—of the poet and thinker’s aspirations for a sovereign state, and expresses our deep reverence for his person and legacy,” the message states.
Culture Week plays a pivotal role in upholding the continuity of the people’s centuries-old traditions and customs—while adapting to the realities of the modern era—and in enriching national culture, art, and literature with outstanding works. This year, the major creative forum is being held in Balkan velayat.
Today, independent Turkmenistan is becoming a hub for international festivals, exhibitions, and conferences. Such events enable participants to gain firsthand insight into modern achievements in national culture and art.
Masters of culture and the arts and creative professionals from the country regularly participate in Days of Culture and other international forums held abroad.At the same time, “Days of Culture” of friendly states are being successfully held in Turkmenistan. This creates an opportunity to showcase Turkmen culture to the peoples of the world, while enabling Turkmen masters of culture and the arts to gain firsthand insight into the cultures of other nations and exchange experience.
“The state will continue its large-scale efforts to develop the cultural sphere, incentivize creative professionals, and provide them with comprehensive support,” the President concluded, wishing everyone good health, family well-being, and inspiration, the State News Agency of Turkmenistan reports.
