Damascus, June 23 (SANA) Food Expo 2026, being held at the Damascus Fairgrounds with the participation of more than 300 local, Arab and international companies, is providing a platform to promote Syrian food products and expand opportunities for exports, investment and business partnerships.
Participants told SANA that the exhibition offers an important venue for showcasing national products, establishing new commercial relationships and strengthening links with consumers and potential buyers.
Mohammad al-Ahmad said the event has enabled Syrian manufacturers to present their products to a broad audience of traders and consumers while opening new channels of communication with those interested in locally made goods.
Mohammad Fayoumi described the exhibition as an effective platform for supporting national industry and strengthening ties among manufacturers, exporters, traders and commercial agents. He noted that Syria’s food industry benefits from a diverse agricultural base that enhances the competitiveness of locally produced food products in regional and international markets.
Abdulrahman al-Bashi said the exhibition has created new opportunities for Syrian companies to expand into Arab and foreign markets, noting that more than half of the raw materials used by his company are now sourced locally, supporting domestic production and job creation.
Sponsored by the Ministry of Economy and Industry, Food Expo 2026 runs through June 25 and features companies specializing in food manufacturing, packaging materials and packaging technologies.
