As it turns out, it is not only Law and Justice and Confederation that assess the performance of Minister Paulina Hennig-Kloska negatively in her role as Minister of Climate and Environment. The Razem party is also calling for her dismissal. “The minister has already been in the government for two years. It is time to finally take responsibility for the functioning of her ministry, and the Razem party will vote in favor of her dismissal,” said Chrystian Talik from Razem.
Razem against the climate minister. Nuclear energy and the deposit system in the background
On 27 March, a motion to dismiss Paulina Hennig-Kloska from her position as Minister of Climate and Environment was submitted to the Sejm. The motion was signed by around 100 MPs, including members of Confederation and Law and Justice. Deputy Marshal of the Sejm Krzysztof Bosak accused the minister of being a “fanatical supporter” of implementing EU climate policy at a time when, he argued, it is already clear that this policy is dragging the European economy down. Bosak also accused Hennig-Kłoska of “ineffective” implementation of regulations concerning the deposit return system.
The Sejm considers a motion of no confidence and puts it to a vote at the next sitting following the lapse of seven days from the date of its submission, and no later than at the subsequent sitting. The motion must therefore be examined at the latest during the sitting scheduled for 28-30 April.
Meanwhile, Deputy Marshal of the Sejm and former leader of Poland 2050, Szymon Hołownia, when asked in the Sejm how he would vote on the motion of no confidence against Hennig-Kłoska, replied: “We will be waiting for the minister together with our colleagues from the PSL in the Sejm.”
Yesterday, Chrystian Talik from the Razem party again spoke about the need for Paulina Hennig-Kloska to step down, listing failures such as delays in the implementation of Poland’s first nuclear power plant project, as well as problems with introducing the deposit return system.
“The minister has already been in the government for two years. It is time to finally take responsibility for the functioning of her ministry, and the Razem party will vote in favor of her dismissal,”
Talik said on Polsat News.
