
The countdown to one of Dominica’s most celebrated cultural events is set to begin as the Cultural Division prepares to introduce the contestants vying for the Miss Wob Dwiyet 2026 title.
According to a press release from the Ministry of Culture, Youth, Sports and Community Development, Cultural Division, the official reveal of this year’s delegates will take place during a specially produced online premiere at 6:00 PM on Wednesday, July 1, 2026.
Organized in collaboration with the National Cultural Council, the event will feature a pre-recorded presentation introducing the five contestants, alongside the release of their official photographs. The public will be able to watch the premiere on the Cultural Division’s official Facebook page as well as through selected media partners.
The unveiling marks the formal start of the 2026 Miss Wob Dwiyet Pageant and offers audiences their first opportunity to meet the young women who will compete for one of the country’s most prestigious cultural titles.
The Cultural Division said the reveal is designed to highlight the elegance, confidence, and cultural pride that have become hallmarks of the pageant, while introducing each delegate as she embarks on her journey toward the crown.
The pageant will culminate on Wednesday, October 21, 2026, when reigning Miss Wob Dwiyet 2025, ZebadiJah Maxwell, will relinquish her title and crown her successor.
Five contestants are expected to showcase the beauty, heritage and traditions of Dominica through the long-standing cultural competition, which continues to play an important role in preserving and promoting the island’s rich cultural identity.
The Cultural Division is encouraging the public to tune in for the online reveal and join in welcoming the 2026 contestants as another chapter begins in celebrating Dominican culture, tradition and the enduring legacy of the Miss Wob Dwiyet Pageant.
