The European Union assessed that yesterday’s session of the Parliament of Montenegro, during which the Minister of Defense Dragan Krapović tried to physically deal with the members of the European Union Boris Mugoš and Nikola Zirojević, sending them the most basic insults, was the best image of the current government and the parliamentary majority.
“In a normal state, Krapović would have been dismissed today,” they say.
As they add, perhaps more scandalous than that are the attempts to target MP Zirojević during Dragan Krapović’s entire presentation.
“Without any evidence, because there cannot be any, Krapović unsuccessfully tried to connect Zirojević with certain persons and criminal organizations. At the same time, from the position of power, the party that manages the largest part of the security sector, Krapović said that, from the positions covered by him and the Minister of the Interior Danilo Saranović, he would deal with Zirojević in particular. We see such messages from the Minister of Defense as a classic attempt to intimidate with a clear message – we will use all the capacities of the security sector to construct an affair with which we will harm Zirojević. Politically for sure, but the question remains as to whether it will be physical as well”, emphasized the ES.
They remind that, after they tried, completely unsuccessfully, to make an affair out of the legal purchase of MP Zirojević’s apartment at market prices, they were denied by the Real Estate Sale Agreement and the invoices issued.
“Today, already on the agenda is a new attempt at an affair based on hearsay stories, which was also denied and completely debunked in record time. In this way, the European Union sends a clear and loud message – the time when we will put an end to the abuse of power resources is getting closer. And it is quite clear why some are extremely afraid of that time”, they emphasize.
As they add, until that time comes, it should be clear to everyone that they will use all the mechanisms at their disposal to defend the human and professional dignity and integrity of every representative of the European Union.
“We will certainly not be accompanied on that road by transitory ministers like Dragan Krapović and their delusion that they are all-powerful and that someone is afraid of them,” the EC concluded.
