Details: The US vice president said he could only stay in Switzerland for “a day or two” but hoped to make progress in talks on handling Iran’s nuclear materials.
Vance noted that one of the priorities is to make progress on a ceasefire in Lebanon, which has again come under rocket fire from Israel. He added that the situation is such that “we will just have to constantly monitor it.”
Direct speech Vance: “Those are two important things that we will focus on. I’m sure the Iranians will also have issues that they would like to discuss.”
What preceded: According to Iranian mass media, on Saturday, June 21, the Iranian delegation flew to Zurich (Switzerland) for negotiations with the USA.
We will remind: The military leadership of Iran announced on June 20 another closure of the Strait of Hormuz due to the alleged violation of the agreement on the part of the United States.
