(VIDEO) Incredible scene: a great white shark followed two rowers
Dron captured the tense moment a great white shark followed two paddlers off the coast of Santa Barbara, California. The two nephews were visiting family over the weekend, and their uncle raised the drone precisely to help them spot the shark.
According to ABC News, one of the paddlers, Robert Kagan, came face-to-face with a great white shark while his sister Kayla was paddling.
“The feeling is a mixture of adrenaline and excitement, but at the same time you realize that it is a serious situation and that you probably shouldn’t be doing this. Then comes a moment when everything becomes real, especially when you’re looking at a shark. As soon as I spotted him, I started telling Kayla, ‘I’m not going to tell you what I saw, just go back to shore.’ When we were coming back, we were scared,” Kagan told ABC News.
The shock of watching the clip
When they later viewed the drone footage, they were shocked at how big the shark was and how close it was to them. Still, they say this close encounter won’t deter them from getting back in touch with the water.
