Russian President Vladimir Putin viewed the latest modifications of locally produced aircraft in the city of Zhukovsky near Moscow on Wednesday.

Putin was shown models of the МС-21–310, SJ-100 and IL-114–300 aircraft, and later during a meeting on the development of domestic aviation, he said that Russia is capable of completely replacing the sanctioned parts of foreign aircraft.
“Russia was forced, but it proved that it is capable of completely replacing imports. We just looked at the aircraft that they showed us, and in many areas we certainly achieved not only that it is on par with the best world models, but also that it surpasses these foreign and Western standards in many components,” Putin said.
“We will do everything necessary to ensure that Russian air carriers operate flights primarily on our domestically produced aircraft,” he added.
