UKC Ljubljana warns of increasingly frequent eye injuries from laser pointers and toys with laser beams. The consequences can be permanent, and treatment is often limited or even impossible.
“In the children’s department, on average, we treat one child per month with macular damage, which occurred as a result of shining into the eyes with laser toys,” Work explanations prof. Manca Tekavčič Pompehead of the children’s department at the Eye Clinic of UKC Ljubljana.
