The European Democrats have reacted again regarding the protests held in Tirana for the departure of Prime Minister Edi Rama.
Through a post on social networks, the European Democrats described the protest as a strong message against the Albanian political class.
According to PDE/EDP, the protestors have criticized Prime Minister Edi Rama and his government, but also the opposition, which some citizens no longer see as an alternative.
Further in the reaction, it is said that Albania needs a “democratic renewal” and not new agreements between worn-out political elites.
“Last night in Tirana, the 24th day of protest sent a message that no party can ignore. The slogans targeted Edi Rama and his government, but also an opposition that many citizens no longer see as an alternative. This is more than a leader. It is the rejection of a political framework that has failed to bring prosperity, transparency and trust. Albania deserves democratic renewal, not another closed bargain between elites worn out. The roads are looking to move forward”, says the reaction.
