The Achievement Learning Centre is recognizing the success of 12-year-old Jahmielle Cadette, who recently achieved a major academic milestone by passing the Grade 6 National Assessment examinations.
A press release from the institution, Jahmielle became a student there in 2021 at the age of eight after his parents sought an educational setting that would support both his learning needs and social growth. Since then, he has made remarkable progress, developing academically and personally while overcoming challenges along the way.
His time at the institution began during one of the most difficult periods of the COVID-19 pandemic. Social distancing requirements and other restrictions created obstacles for students and educators alike. However, the Centre said its teachers adopted creative and adaptive teaching methods to ensure Jahmielle remained engaged in his studies and continued to advance.
Over the years, Jahmielle has emerged as a confident and articulate young man known for his creativity, sense of humour, and positive attitude. The Centre noted that he has shown steady improvement across key subject areas, including Mathematics, Language Arts, Social Studies, and Integrated Science.
According to the Centre, beyond academics, Jahmielle has also strengthened his social skills and awareness while cultivating a strong interest in chess, a game that has become one of his passions.
The school praised Jahmielle for his hard work, perseverance, and growth throughout his educational journey. Staff members expressed pride in his accomplishments and highlighted the dedication he has demonstrated since joining the institution.
As he prepares for the next stage of his education, the Centre extended warm congratulations to Jahmielle and wished him continued success, expressing confidence that he will continue to build on his achievements and excel in the years ahead as he pursues his lifelong learning journey.
