Because of the national holiday expected high temperatures The Archdiocese of Luxembourg has taken several precautionary measures for the traditional “Te Deum” at Notre-Dame Cathedral. The celebration begins on June 23rd at 4:30 p.m.
Shortened program and strengthening of the first aid service
As the Archbishop Ordinariate announced on Monday, water bottles will be made available to visitors upon request. In addition, the ceremony program was shortened to reduce exposure to the heat.
The Order of Malta’s first aid service has also been strengthened. This is to ensure that help can be provided quickly in the event of circulatory problems or other health problems.
Access to the cathedral only on Boulevard Roosevelt
For organizational reasons, visitors are asked to take their seats in Notre-Dame Cathedral between 3:30 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. at the latest. This year, public access is exclusively via the entrance on Boulevard Roosevelt.
The “Te Deum” in Notre-Dame Cathedral is traditionally one of the highlights of the Luxembourg National Day celebrations. Every year, numerous believers as well as representatives of the Grand Ducal House and political institutions take part in the solemn mass. (DJ)
