Tbilisi, June 23 (SANA) Syria is taking part in the 2026 United Nations Public Service Forum, which opened Tuesday in the Georgian capital, Tbilisi, with a delegation from the Ministry of Justice headed by Minister Mazhar al-Wais.
The forum, held from June 23 to 25 under the theme “Transforming Public Institutions: Enhancing Innovation, Participation and Inclusion,” focuses on transparency, the rule of law, institutional reform and improving public services.
Organized by the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UN DESA) in cooperation with Georgia’s Ministry of Justice, the event includes workshops on digital transformation, policy coordination and local governance.
Al-Wais and the Syrian delegation are participating in sessions on transitional justice and strengthening the rule of law, including discussions on national reconciliation, institution-building, legislative development, rights protection and fair trial guarantees.
