More than one million natural persons from the general regime submitted their income tax return corresponding to the 2025 fiscal period, the Internal Revenue Service (SRI) reported in a statement this Tuesday, April 21.
However, the entity warned that 283,413 taxpayers have not yet complied with this obligation, which is why it called for their situation to be regularized before the start of the control processes.
According to tax administration records, more than 1.3 million individuals were required to file their declaration.
Of this total, one million taxpayers did so within the established deadline, while 51,501 filed late.
The SRI indicated that the 283,413 natural persons who have not yet complied with this obligation must do so immediately in order to avoid sanctions; Otherwise, they could be included in control processes.
Taxpayers can check if they have outstanding obligations through SRI Online, available at www.sri.gob.ec. To do this, they must log in with their username and password and consult their tax status, there they will be able to verify pending declarations and regularize their situation. (YO)
