«Today we have been married for 3 years. We have been together for 5 years. These memories have a special place in my heart. Happy anniversary,” wrote Charlotte Baret on Instagram about a week ago. Your great love Ramona Bachmann responded to the words and the heartfelt love video: “Goosebumps… Happy anniversary, my darling. Je t’aime.”
Yes, Bachmann and Baret are one heart and one soul. They met and fell in love on Tinder, in 2023 they first got married in front of the registry office, and at the end of 2023 the dream wedding followed on La Réunion. Son Luan Maël was born in spring 2025. Since leaving the USA, the small family has been living back in Switzerland – in Bachmann’s hometown of Lucerne.
Ramona Bachmann talks about Luan Maël
The Nati star is currently fighting his way back from an injury. She, who has been under contract with the Young Boys since winter, suffered a torn cruciate ligament a year ago and another setback at the beginning of the year. Now she tells 20 Minutes: “I’m doing very well.” It was a difficult time, Bachmann continued.

What she means: A year ago, she spoke openly about her mental health issues, including anxiety and panic attacks. An emotional breakdown led to a diagnosis of generalized anxiety disorder with panic disorder. Thanks to therapy and support from her family, she found her way back to life. Now she says: “I put a lot of pressure on myself.”
Now the 35-year-old is looking forward. At the public viewing in the Maag Hall she is laughing and in a great mood – but she misses her little family. “Even in moments like now, when I’m only away for a few hours, I miss him (son Luan Maël, editor) extremely,” she says and speaks of the offspring with beaming eyes.

«Luan is doing very, very well. He’s super active. He was able to walk from an early age. “It brings us so much joy,” she says. He’s just not really interested in football yet – that stresses her out easily. “No, fun, everything’s good,” Bachmann laughs and adds: “At the moment he finds everything that’s new interesting. Later I will support him in whatever he wants to do, even if it isn’t football.”

“I think France will make it to the final”
Speaking of football: Bachmann is following the World Cup and also the national team. «We have a young team that is very hungry. At the same time, we have a lot of experience, especially with Granit Xhaka,” she says. “And up front we have great quality in Breel Embolo – he is outstanding.” She describes Xhaka as key players, but also Dan Ndoye and Embolo.
In the final, the Nati star sees other nations than Switzerland. «I believe that France will make it to the final. “It’s a huge advantage that they have so much quality in their squad,” said Bachmann. “In my opinion, Brazil will also be in the final.”
