    Sadness fell over the Saudi artistic community after the death of the artist and musician Abdullah Al-Qarni, today (Monday), following a sudden health crisis that put him in a coma before he passed away in Riyadh, leaving behind an artistic career that extended for years and was linked to Gulf, traditional, and traditional songs.

    Dr. Fatima Al-Qarni revealed that the late artist suffered a sudden health problem while he was in Jeddah, which caused his liver functions to stop and him to enter a coma, before he was transferred to the military hospital in Riyadh, where he passed away.

    She denied rumors about his death in Cairo, confirming that the death occurred in Riyadh, and noting that the deceased’s mother was her cousin.

    Ayed Al-Qarni: I lost my cousin and my dear brother

    Sheikh Dr. Ayed Al-Qarni mourned his late cousin through his account on the “X” platform, saying: “My cousin and my dear, dear brother, Abdullah bin Saeed bin Ayed Al Majdoua Al-Qarni, died today, Monday. May God forgive him and all Muslim men and women, and have mercy on him and make him dwell in His spacious gardens, and inspire his family with patience and solace. We belong to God and to Him we shall return.”

    Messages of condolence also came from artists, media figures, and those close to them, as director Faisal Yamani expressed his sadness, saying: “May God have mercy on you, my beloved, O Abdullah, and forgive you. By God, you were the people closest to my heart and closest to them.”

    “Gulf Stars”…the starting station

    Abdullah Al-Qarni began his artistic presence in the middle of the first decade of the new millennium, before achieving his most prominent breakthrough by winning the title of the Gulf Stars program in 2007, after a competition during which he attracted attention with his voice and performance, to reserve his place among the promising young voices in the Gulf arena.

    His name was associated with the audience with the song “Gone for Eight Years,” which contributed to strengthening his artistic presence and spreading it widely.

    A journey between singing and composing

    The deceased continued his artistic activity through a number of lyrical, patriotic, and heritage works, the most prominent of which are “Habooh,” “Oh Peace be upon you, O Saudi Arabia,” and “Long Live My Country.” He also participated in several national and artistic operettas, including “Banner and Ghaya,” “Love of Abha,” and “The Gulf of Goodness and Love.”

    He also emerged as a composer and oud and piano player, and contributed to the musical supervision and implementation of a number of artistic works, in addition to his participation in festivals and events inside and outside the Kingdom.

    Academic talent and high morals

    Journalist Fawaz Al-Malhi confirmed that the deceased is considered one of the artistic talents who emerged since 2005, before achieving wide fame after his participation in “Gulf Stars.” He pointed out his keenness to develop his talent through academic study of music, in addition to his work in supervision and musical execution of many works.

    He added that Abdullah Al-Qarni was known for his gentle manners and respect for everyone, which earned him widespread love inside and outside the artistic community.

    An impact that remains despite the absence

    Despite the challenges he faced during his career and periods of separation imposed by some contractual obligations, Abdullah Al-Qarni maintained his artistic presence and his adherence to the traditional and traditional style for which he was known.

    With his passing, the Saudi artistic scene loses one of the voices that left a special mark on the Gulf song, while expressions of lamentation and prayers for mercy and forgiveness continue for him from his fans, colleagues and fans.

    Ayed Al-Qarni mourns his cousin

    Sheikh Dr. Ayed Al-Qarni mourned the deceased through his account on the “X” platform, saying: “My cousin and dear brother Abdullah bin Saeed bin Ayed Al-Majdou’ Al-Qarni passed away today, Monday, 7 / 1 / 1448 AH. May God forgive him and all Muslims, and have mercy on him and grant him a spacious abode in Paradise, and may He grant his family patience and solace. Indeed, we belong to God and to Him we shall return.”

    Several artists and close friends also expressed their sorrow over his passing, as director Faisal Yamani wrote: “May God have mercy on you, my dear Abdullah, and forgive you. You were truly one of the dearest people to my heart and the closest to me. How is life after you, my friend?”

    Media personality Fawaz Al-Malhi revealed through his account on the “X” platform that the death of artist Abdullah Al-Qarni came after he entered a sudden coma while in Cairo.

    Al-Malhi pointed out that the late artist is considered one of the artistic talents that emerged since 2005, before achieving widespread fame through his participation in the Gulf Stars program, where he presented the famous song “Eight Years Have Passed.” He added that Al-Qarni was keen to refine his talent through academic study of music, in addition to his work in the supervision and musical execution of many artistic works, noting his well-known demeanor and respect for everyone.

    Al-Malhi concluded his eulogy with a prayer for the deceased for mercy and forgiveness, and that God grants his family and loved ones patience and solace.

    Abdullah Al-Qarni began his artistic presence in the mid-2000s, before achieving his major breakthrough by winning the title of the Gulf Stars program in 2007, after a strong competition that drew attention with his voice and distinctive performance, earning him the admiration of the audience and the judging panel.

    One of the most notable works associated with the audience was the song “Eight Years Have Passed,” which helped establish his name among the promising young voices in the Gulf artistic scene.
