Today, a meeting in the capital secretariat, which included the Minister of Transport and Public Works, Muhammad Qahim, and the capital’s mayor, Dr. Hammoud Abbad, discussed ways to develop and advance the real estate sector in the capital.
The meeting, in the presence of the local Secretary General of the Secretariat, Amin Jamaan, the representatives of the Works Sectors of the Ministry of Transport and Works, Engineer Ali Rajeh, the Planning Engineer, Wadih Jahaf, and the Works Sectors of the Secretariat, Engineer Abdul Karim Al-Houthi, and the Services Sector, Engineer Abdel Fattah Al-Sharafi, reviewed the steps and procedures implemented by the Municipality of the Capital in coordination with the private sector to address the problems facing the development of the real estate sector and provide it with all facilities.
He approved the formation of a committee from the Ministry of Transport and Works and the Capital Municipality to develop and update the building law in a way that contributes to encouraging investment in the real estate field, especially in building investment towers in the main streets designated for this aspect, and to work to overcome the problems facing this.
Qahim and Abad emphasized the strengthening of cooperation and joint work between the Ministry and the Secretariat and coordination between all concerned parties in organizing and developing the real estate sector, providing all facilities to advance it, and addressing the problems facing investors in this vital economic sector.
They pointed out the importance of concerted efforts and updating the laws and regulations related to this sector, especially those related to planning, in a way that encourages capital to invest in real estate according to thoughtful and accurate visions and plans.
The meeting was attended by the Secretariat’s Undersecretaries, Dr. Qannaf Al-Marani, Ali Al-Lahiji, the Assistant for the Works Sector, Engineer Abdullah Rawiah, the Director of the Works Office, Engineer Abdul Salam Al-Jaradi, his Deputy, Engineer Abdul Latif Al-Wali, and the Deputy Head of the Real Estate Development Sector in the Chamber of Commerce in the Secretariat, Muhammad Al-Kahlani.
