Meeting under the chairmanship of Mehdi Tazithe first Board of Directors of the new mandate was marked by the establishment of a renewed governance architecture, intended to realize the main projects and reforms included in the Confederation’s program for the next three years.
The Council thus approved the creation of 20 permanent commissions and appointed their presidents. This new organization covers a wide range of strategic themes, ranging from attractiveness and business climate to theaccess to financingpassing through the sustainable developmentthere logistics competitivenessTHE foreign tradeL’green economy and the growth of SME.
The new governance also gives pride of place to emerging issues. The creation of a Commission “ AI and Economic Transformation “, of a Commission ” Acceleration of Start-ups » as well as “ Morocco Innovation Lab » testifies to the will of the CGEM to make innovation and artificial intelligence levers of competitiveness for Moroccan companies.
The Confederation emphasizes having designed this architecture in order to mobilize new energies in the service of businesses, by associating experienced profiles with a new generation of leaders. The heads of the various commissions were chosen based on their commitment, their skills and their ability to carry the voice of all components of the private sector. In the same spirit of renewal, the Council approved the appointment of representatives of young innovative companies, women business leaders as well as the 13th Region of the CGEM dedicated to Moroccan Entrepreneurs of the World.
The Council also designated the members of the CGEM Bureau, composed of Mehdi Tazi as president, Mohamed Bachiri as general vice-president, as well as several vice-presidents representing different sectors and sensitivities of the economic world.
Placed under the sign “Entrepreneurs on the move”, the 2026-2029 mandate is resolutely focused on action, synergy and impact. The CGEM intends in particular to strengthen the role of the private sector in investment, further support SMEs, encourage inclusive and sustainable growth, promote territorial inclusion and support the major changes that the Kingdom is experiencing, particularly in terms of productive sovereignty, innovation and the integration of artificial intelligence.
