Escape lengthy visa procedures and go on a whim. For many Moroccans, this is one of the main criteria for choosing a summer vacation. There Türkiye remains the star destination for Moroccan travelers. Accessible without a visa for stays of up to 90 days, the country attracts with the diversity of its tourist offering. In one week, it is possible to discover the historical heritage of Istanbul, fly over the landscapes of Cappadocia in a hot air balloon or enjoy the beaches of Antalya on the Turkish Riviera. With an abundant hotel offering and affordable catering, Turkey also remains one of the destinations offering the best value for money. For a seven-day stay, you should plan an average budget of between 8,000 and 14,000 dirhams per person, flight and accommodation included.

Another destination of choice: the Malaysia. Exempt from visas for stays of 90 days, Moroccans find a subtle mix between modernity, nature and a change of scenery. The Petronas Twin Towers in Kuala Lumpur, the beaches of Langkawi, the tea plantations of the Cameron Highlands and the tropical forests of Borneo are among the must-sees. The destination also appeals with its relatively affordable cost of living. A one-week stay generally costs between 12,000 and 18,000 dirhams per person, depending on the booking period and the level of comfort sought.

For lovers of wide open spaces and more distant travels, the Brazil is an increasingly popular option. Visa-free for Moroccan passport holders, the South American giant promises a total change of scenery between the beaches of Rio de Janeiro, the colonial atmosphere of Salvador de Bahia, the impressive Iguaçu Falls and the immensity of the Amazon. The destination, however, remains more expensive due to the cost of air transport. It costs between 18,000 and 28,000 dirhams for a stay of one week to ten days.

Closer to the Kingdom, the Tunisia continues to appeal to Moroccan families. Accessible without a visa, it is one of the most affordable summer destinations. Between the white and blue streets of Sidi Bou Saïd, the beaches of Hammamet, the island of Djerba and the medina of Tunis, the country offers a successful combination of seaside, heritage and gastronomy. With particularly competitive all-inclusive packages, a one-week stay can be organized with a budget of between 5,000 and 9,000 dirhams per person.

THE Senegal also stands out as a safe bet for Moroccan travelers looking for a change of scenery without long journeys. Accessible without a visa, the country relies on its rich cultural and natural heritage. Dakar, the island of Gorée, the seaside resort of Saly and the Lompoul desert are all popular sites for tourists. Its climate, its geographical proximity and its renowned hospitality make it a particularly attractive destination. The average budget for a week ranges between 8,000 and 13,000 dirhams per person.

For those who dream of turquoise lagoons and postcard beaches, the Philippines are among the most attractive Asian destinations accessible without a prior visa. The archipelago of more than 7,000 islands offers exceptional landscapes, notably in Palawan, El Nido, Boracay or Cebu, renowned for their crystal clear waters and their diving activities. Despite the distance, the Philippines remains relatively affordable once there. A stay of seven to ten days, however, requires an average budget of between 15,000 and 22,000 dirhams per person.

Finally, the Cape Verde is gradually gaining popularity among Moroccan travelers. Located a few hours’ flight from the Kingdom, the archipelago seduces with its preserved beaches, its volcanic landscapes and its hiking and water sports activities. The islands of Sal, São Vicente and Santo Antão are among the most sought-after destinations. For a week’s vacation, you should plan an average budget of between 9,000 and 14,000 dirhams per person.

    Before booking your trip

Even when no visa is required, several countries impose certain entry conditions, including a passport valid at least six months after the return date, an exit ticket from the territory and sometimes proof of accommodation or financial resources. It is therefore recommended to systematically check entry conditions with consular authorities or airlines before departure.

Good deal: Three destinations with the best value for money

    • Tunisia: ideal for a low-budget family stay, from 5,000 dirhams per person.
    • Türkiye: an extremely diversified tourist offer and quality services for less than 15,000 dirhams per week.
    • Senegal: a guaranteed change of scenery a few hours’ flight from Morocco, with stay costs still relatively affordable.
