Director of the Geological Survey and Mineral Resources Authority branch in Hajjah Governorate, Muhammad Al-Qadmi, reviewed the progress of artisanal mining work in a number of districts.
Al-Qadmi explained that the aim of the visit, accompanied by a number of engineering teams, was to review the level of compliance with artisanal mining procedures and to provide artisans with guidance and information on occupational safety during work, as well as to ensure that any harm to humans and the environment is avoided.
He stressed the authority’s keenness to strengthen oversight of the implementation of the artisanal mining mechanism to create job opportunities in this sector, contribute to supporting the community service aspect and strengthen the national economy.
