Why are modern brides forgoing glitter? The designer named an unexpected reason Life

“In the latest collection, the most important thing for me was not only to create a dress, but also to express a state. I wanted to give a woman a sense of peace, lightness and inner strength”, – the well-known designer Raimonda Silė reveals the idea of her latest collection. According to the clothing designer, today’s bride no longer wants to “play” a bride – she wants to be herself, only the most beautiful version of herself.

The latest collection of the Šiauliat woman is dominated by clean silhouettes that fit the body lines, modern garment construction, and easy-to-fall fabrics. All the dresses in the collection are combined with decorative lace-up details. This creates a stylistically and structurally cohesive collection of dresses. The color palette is dominated by a milky white shade that suits almost all skin types of brides.

“For me, it is always important that luxury does not shout, but is felt,” the author emphasizes.

Every bride brings her own story

The designer from Šiauliai says that she always observes global trends and fashion trends, but she never follows them blindly. For the creator, the most important thing is a woman and emotion, not a short-term fashion effect.

“Trends can inspire, but they cannot dictate creativity. It seems to me that the real style begins when the garment has a sense of longevity. After many years, the wedding dress must still look beautiful and sensitive in the photos, and not remind the fashion of a specific season”, R. Silė is convinced.

The designer creates for a woman who appreciates aesthetics, quality and authenticity. It doesn’t need an over-the-top shine or an artificial effect. She wants to feel elegant, feminine and free. “It is very important for me to hear the woman herself – her character, posture, even her silence… Often a dress is born not from a sketch, but from a conversation between the two of us with the client. Because every bride brings her own story, and the dress must not overshadow it, but only subtly emphasize it,” Raimonda says about the creative process.

A balance between aesthetics and feeling

    R. Silė has been working in the field of fashion for almost two decades. Could the designer compare: what kind of bride is she today and what was she like back then, in the early years of her creation? What are the main differences? “The biggest difference is that today’s bride knows herself much better. In the past, it was often important to ‘match the image of the bride’, there were more rules, traditional expectations.” Today, women are bolder, freer, they choose what is close to their personality. The attitude towards the holiday itself has also changed. Now there is much more sensitivity to details, atmosphere, authenticity. The bride no longer wants to be dressed up as a princess – she wants to feel herself. And for me it is a very beautiful transformation. The amount of information has also changed significantly. Today, a bride comes in sophisticated, having seen a lot, inspired by world fashion, but at the same time, individuality is becoming more and more important to her,” the interviewer has no doubts.

In his work, Raimondas is perhaps most inspired by the woman herself and her emotions. Also architecture, art, travel, natural light, falling fabrics, even the quiet moments of everyday life. Inspiration often comes not from noise, but from sensitive observation. The relationship with the material is also extremely important to the author – sometimes the fabric itself dictates the form. In her work, R. Sile always wants to find a balance between aesthetics and feeling.

What would be the designer’s top three tips for a bride choosing her wedding dress? “First of all, don’t follow trends – look for yourself. The most beautiful dress is not the most fashionable, but the most real. Listen to your feelings. If you can breathe freely, move and smile at yourself in the mirror with the dress, it’s a very good sign. Choose not only with your eyes, but also with your feelings. A wedding dress should not “overshadow” a woman, but let her shine”, Raimonda shared her advice.

The designer reminds that if the budget does not allow you to buy high-quality hand-decorated clothes, do not choose cheap dresses richly decorated with sequins. In this case, the good old rule applies: less is more.
