    Colombians in Panama go to the polls to define the next president of Colombia


    Around 26,000 Colombians residing in Panama are entitled to exercise their right to vote in the second round of the presidential elections Colombiaa process that will define the political course of the country for the next four years. Voters must choose between the official candidate Ivan Cepedaof the Historical Pactand the right-wing candidate Abelardo de la Espriellafrom the coalition Firm for the Homeland.

    The Consul General of Colombia in Panama, Jose Antonio Sotoreported this Saturday, June 20 to The Star of Panama that voting for the second round began last Monday. Likewise, he explained that throughout the week citizens have been able to go to the polls from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm

    He Consulate General of Colombia in Panama A massive election day will be held this Sunday in the Hotel Plaza Paitilla Innlocated on Vía Italia, in front of the consular headquarters. For this activity, 38 voting stations in order to serve the thousands of citizens summoned to participate in the event.

    Panama is home to one of the largest Colombian communities in the region, which has made the country one of the main voting centers for Colombians living abroad. According to consulate data, approximately 180,000 Colombian citizens.
