Silver in the K1 1,000 meters on Saturday and the same medal in the K1 5,000 meters on Sunday. That was Melina Andersson’s medal haul at the European Championships in Montemor-o-Velho.
Just like in the shorter distance, the Swede was second to Hungarian Emese Kohalmi for the gold, but once again, Olympic canoeist Andersson was beaten by just under a second (0.88 seconds).
