
The opening ceremony of the said mosque was attended by the Minister of Finance and Administration of the Ministry of Public Affairs, Maulvi Muhammad Yunus Rashid, the head of the protection of the sacredness of the said ministry, Mufti Muhammad Naseem Mohammadi, the representative of the Ministry of Guidance, Hajj and Endowments and a number of other officials.
The Minister of Finance and Administration of the Ministry of Public Works has said that this mosque was built in a basic and standard manner at the cost of 32 million Afghanis and will provide proper facilities for the travelers of the highway.
Mufti Mohammad Naseem Mohammadi, head of privacy protection of the Ministry of Public Affairs, said that this mosque is built on three acres of land and has separate sections for men and women.
According to him, this mosque has the capacity to offer prayers for 220 to 250 men and about 200 women at a time.
The representative of the Ministry of Guidance, Hajj and Endowments Maulvi Abdul Haq Hamad said that a scholar, a muezzin and a guard will be appointed to manage the affairs of this mosque.
At the same time, the officials of the Ministry of Public Works said that in the provinces of the country where there were few prayer places for highway travelers, the construction of 75 mosques was approved according to the order of His Highness Amirul Momineen.
