Bahamian professional baseball player Jasrado ‘Jazz’ Chisholm Jr. hit his third home run with Aaron Judge’s bat, and 10th of the season, on Wednesday, helping the New York Yankees blast the Chicago White Sox in a matchup of division leaders, for the second night in a row.
Chisholm blasted a solo shot to right center field in the bottom of the seventh inning to give the Yankees a 10-3 lead, and they went on to win 10-5, at Yankee Stadium in the Bronx, New York.
Chisholm, who had just one hit in his last 13 at-bats prior to the home run, helped extend an offensive outburst for the Yankees on Wednesday night as they enjoyed double digit runs for the second straight night and double digit hits for a third straight game.
The 28-year-old star second baseman of the Yankees finished with that solo home run in five at-bats. For the season, he is batting .230 with 10 home runs, 30 RBIs (runs batted in) and 37 runs scored. He also has 20 steals this season — fifth in Major League Baseball (MLB), and with more than half of the season to go, another 30-30 campaign is not out of the realm of possiblity.
Prior to going deep on Wednesday, Chisholm struck out twice and popped out to White Sox first baseman Miguel Vargas in foul territory. In the bottom of the seventh, he stepped up to the plate and worked the count full before taking White Sox right-handed reliever Trevor Richards deep.
Chisholm turned on a 92.6 miles per hour (mph) four-seam fastball and lifted it to deep right center field. The shot had an exit velocity of 100.1mph and traveled 398 feet at a launch angle of 30 degrees. In the following inning, Chisholm grounded out to Jacob Gonzalez to complete his night at the plate.

They are also 9-4 without Judge who could be out of the lineup for another month with a right rib injury.
As mentioned, the Yankees continue to be one of the hottest teams in baseball. They have the best record in the American League and are just one and a half games behind the Los Angeles Dodgers (48-27) for the best record in the majors.

Chisholm batted sixth and had his home run in five at-bats. Paul Goldschmidt continues to swing a hot bat with two hits inclusive of a three-run shot. Ali Sánchez also had two hits for the Yankees.
